kite surfing

Today i'm going to firstly give you an introduction to kite surfing an what it is like in Brazil.

Kitesurfing or Kiteboarding is an adventure surface water sport that has been described as combining wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding and gymnastics into one extreme sport. Kitesurfing harnesses the power of the wind to propel a rider across the water on a small surfboard or a kiteboard (similar to a wakeboard). The terms kiteboarding and kitesurfing are interchangeable. There are a number of different styles of kiteboarding, including freestyle (most common and utilises standard kite and board) or wake-style (flatter water using board with bindings) and wave-riding which is focused on big waves using a board designed for wave riding.
kitesurfer or kiteboarder uses a board with or without foot-straps or bindings, combined with the power of a large controllable kite to propel the rider and the board across the water. In 2006, the number of kitesurfers has been estimated at around 150,000 to 210,000, with 114,465 inflatable kites sold that same year. Riding styles have evolved to suit riders and conditions, such as wakestyle, waveriding, freestyle, freeride, jumping, and cruising.
Although kitesurfing is an extreme sport, its safety record is improving due to advances in hybrid and bow kite designs and the ability to control the power that they provide, effective safety release systems, and wider availability of kiteboarding schools such as the IKO and BKSA and the resulting improving teaching standards as the sport matures. There are still a number of deaths every year and a much larger number of serious injuries and accidents.
Cumbuco offers wave spots as well as flat water lagoons and the usual North-Easterly wind-swell. From the beach of Cumbuco you can ride 8 km’s downwind to Barra (or Lagoa) do Cauipe, a flat water lagoon next to the Ocean. It’s a great spot although it can get crowdy on the week-ends and during high-season.
Another spot becoming well-known is Paracuru, about 80 miles West of Fortaleza. It is the largest city on the coast between Fortaleza and Prea.
so hoped u like my blog and i'll sign off with this amazing kite surfing video.

hang liding in brazil

Today im going to first give you an introduction to hang gliding and thentell u what it is like in Brazil.
Hang gliding is one of the simplest forms of human flight. A hang glider is a non-motorized, foot-launched wing. A Hang glider has a rigid frame maintaining the shape of the wing, with the pilot usually flying in a prone position. The hang glider wing is constructed of rip-stop nylon or mylar over an aluminum frame.
Hang gliders are controlled by shifting the pilot's weight with respect to the glider. Pilots are suspended from a strap connected to the glider's frame (hence the name "hang" glider). By moving forward and backward and side to side at the end of this strap, the pilot alters the center of gravity of the glider. This then causes the glider to pitch or roll in the direction of the pilot's motion and thus allows both speed control and turning. With a hang glider, you can fly like a bird, soaring upwards on currents of air. Hang gliders routinely stay aloft for 3 hours or more, climb to elevations of 15,000', and go cross-country for vast distances
You will have the unique sensation of flying like a bird, with a light breeze of tropical air in your face and surrounded by the beautiful mountains and beaches of Rio de Janeiro.Flying a not propelled aircraft means gliding smoothly through the air, after seven steps over the platform you will feel and understand why birds are peaceful animals. The fear of not touching the ground will disappear and will be overcome by tranquility of floating in the air. During flight you will also see the main attractions of Rio de Janeiro ; Sugar loaf , Corcovado, Copacabana , Ipanema , Lagoa and the city of Niteroi on the other side of the Guanabara Bay.A smooth landing on the sandy beach of Sao Conrado will thoroughly refresh you . The whole adventure can be photographed by our special camera attached to the glider or video recorded so you can revise your first. i hope u go to rio and try it out, i promise it wont disappoint you.
